About Us

Incorporated in 2006, Erie Gay Pride, Inc. is a non-profit organization dedicated to organizing and supporting the Erie region’s GLBT community. For some time, various individuals within the GLBT community have felt that a lack of cohesiveness and organization was hurting efforts to advance GLBT issues, services and programs in Erie County. Months of discussions, strategy sessions and consultations finally led to the birth of Erie Gay Pride, Inc.

In 2006, Erie Gay Pride, Inc. became the official sponsor of the Erie Pride March and Rally which was held in Perry Square in September. We will continue to sponsor this event annually with the goal of making it bigger and better each year.

In addition to the Erie Pride March and Rally, it is our goal to help bring the GLBT community together through other social events, educational programs and informational opportunities designed to strengthen our voice and enhance our image in the region.

We are about to embark on an exciting adventure. We look forward to your encouragement, support and enthusiasm. Together we can be a voice and a force for GLBT people in Erie County.
